knowing if a person opened your mail

how do i know if a personopened my mail, could you tell me how, to send this
outlook express, where you can hit yes you want the person know if you opened
it or no..how do you do this. thank you, jerry
 
Hi, Jerry.

You can ask, but you can't be sure that the recipient read your mail, even
if it was received.

In OE or WM or WLM, click Tools | Options | Receipts, then check the first
box, "Request a read receipt for all sent messages".

But that irritates a lot of users - like me; I seldom send a receipt, even
when one is requested. I usually find that it is just a setting that the
sender had checked long ago and simply forgot about. If I reply, he knows I
got his message. If I don't reply, it's because I don't want to reply -
probably because it was SPAM or PHISHING, anyhow.
