KKopy - Neat free tool which avoids the frustrating scrolling off the
window when trying to highlight text that you want to cut and paste.

Whole paragraphs and sections of text with a single click can be
copied or cut.

Excellent if you are selectively taking information from documents.

The best solution is to place the cursor at the beginning of text to be
highlighted > hold down Shift > place cursor at end of text, text is
highlighted; then C or C.

Hi,

Thanks for the post, although I think you meant X or C!

I use your technique as well and it is very helpful. Where KKopy is
excellent is where the text you want to copy is on a different page.
If you try to highlight the end of the text you are trying to copy you
will see the highlight flies past where you want to be. It's very
frustrating. Thats what this software handles best

Also, if you know you want all the text in say a heading section, you
don't need to find the end of the section. Click on the header text
and all is copied (or cut) for you in one click.

Cheers,

Mike

I'm sure KKopy is useful. Will just mention that the problem you
describe is probably most relevant (maybe only) when you use the mouse
to scroll. Try using the keyboard, hold down shift to select, then at
the same time use page up/down and/or arrow keys to navigate
("scroll"). Gives you much more control. Can also use home/end keys.

All the best,
