Last night I shut down my system, this morning I turn it on, it scanned but
it did not go to the the Windows boot instead I gave me this messag "press F1
to retry and F2 for setup utility." and everytime I pressed F1 it kept
repeating the same message.

This has happened before and the only solution has been to unplug all the
cables from the back of the CPU and hope that it overturns. Can someone
help??

Go to F2, which appears to be the shortcut for bios setup, and
check the settings in the bios screen. If it looks OK, then exit
and let the computer start normally. It should.

Just how old is the computer? Has the CMOS battery been replaced?
If not or it has been some time since last changed, then do it.

I have a Dell 8100 it is about five years old and no I have never replaced
the CMOS battery. Thank you for your feedback...
