I was at an exhibition and saw someone with a PowerPoint presentation that
had a main slide where you could choose a product to see information on.
The visitor chose a product and the slide show for that product played
completely, then returned to the intial slide, ready for another choice of
product.

I'd like to set something like this up for six presentation at a booth we
are setting up, where they choose the one they want to see and sit back and
watch it.

Alternatively, can I have these six presentation run one after the other
automatically?

The catch is that each of these has a different slide and title mater, so I
can't combine them all into one show.

Thanks for any suggestions - Win2K Pro and Office 2K.

Thanks,
Mich

Yes, you can do this.

1. Create all your presentations and save them in the same folder.
2. Create a menu presentation and save it in the same folder.
3. Highlight text or object you want to link to another presentation and
choose Hyperlink from the Insert menu. The details of the menu are
different for each version of PowerPoint, but you should be able to find
the option to link to another PowerPoint file and choose the file.
4. Repeat 3 for each presentation.
5. For each presentation, set the slide transitions to automatically go
to the next slide after however many seconds you want (go to the Slide
Show menu and choose Slide Transition).
6. For the machine that you want to run this on, start PowerPoint, and
choose Options from the Tools menu. In the View tab, the last option is
End With Black Slide. Uncheck this option. Be aware that this option is
for PowerPoint, not a particularly slide show, so you have to change it
on every machine this is running on.

This should do exactly what you want. When a menu item is clicked, it
will run through a particular slideshow and automatically return to the
menu show.

Mich,

See this tutorial on creating such an interactive menu
http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com/powerpointmenu.htm

Method 1 is for jumping to custom shows in the same presentation
Method 2 is for jumping to other presentations
Alternatively, can I have these six presentation run one after the other
automatically?
