Thanks! This was a perfect example of why posters should include
verified working links when they mention an on topic program or related
website.

The link in your broken, abusive sig no longer works.

I see the program is now available for download, has anyone done so
and what do you think of it?

Glenn

I see nothing on the site to indicate that this is freeware.
fileforum.betanews.com says freeware but they are apparently wrong.

Actually, the web site for this product states that it is shareware. I've
also scoured over the site and can find no indication that there is a
free version available.

It used to say on the homepage that which it still says at listsoft:

This program is a professional back up utility - the most effective you
can get today - and it's free. Unlimited backup profiles are supported.
A_dailyBackUp can be configured to start the backup automatically after
the program starts (using command line options (switches) and to exit
when the backup is finished. The files or complete directories will be
stored in ZIP compatible archives using a very fast and secure
compression procedure. With this utility version tracking of files can
be easily done as well. We recommend a daily backup of all changed files
triggered by the A_ShutDown utility before shut down or log off your
computer.

Registration is free for non-commercial users. If the program asks for
some DLLs you may download them at homepage.

I think it is likely that Listsoft and fileforum.betanews.com are both
behind the times as to it's status. If it were freeware, surely the
homepage would be the authority.

I would like to run the program through its paces, but NOT if it
isn't freeware. Hasn't anyone installed this program and determined
its proper 'ware' status?
