Go to some place like gamecopyworld or megagames and download the "no-cd"
crack. Follow directions (which is usually simply copy a replacement file
into the games home folder) and if you got the right "crack" game will run
without ever needing cd again.
Note if/when you do this, you usually must get the crack that's made for the
specific revision of the game you're using. For example, NFS:Undeground I
first apply the companies update patch after the inital install then I apply
the no-cd crack to that. If I didn't first apply the company update patch
(think it takes it to 1.4) the 1..4 version of the no-cd crack won't work.
If you instead crack the original version before patching usually the patch
won't work as it'll notice some files aren't "right".
For me, companies demanding the original cd in drive when playing a game is
unacceptable. I'm not going to pay good hard earned money so they can demand
I risk my investment every time I want to use it. That's just sure to end up
with me the loser sooner or later.
