Ben

I want my Domain user account to use the Local Profile on my Clint XP
system. The name of the Clint computer is "Silver" so in the AD account
Profile path I put \\Silver\Documents and Settings\Ben . Ben being the name
of the folder holding my Local Profile.

Well it don't work. I thought it was a permissions problem but just for a
test I gave the Local Profile folder the everyone/full control and it still
didn't work. So then I tried to get to the Domain users from the client
system to give the folder full control by the Domain's everyone group but
was unable to get there. It kept asking me for the account information of a
valid user on the Domain and when I would give it the Admin logon it would
just sit there for 10-15 minuets and do nothing.

Hope you understand what I'm asking,
~Ben

Of course -- I bet you have no share name "Documents and Settings".

Either change to "\\Silver\C$\Document and Settings\Ben" (bad practice
using $ Admin shared) or (better) share the "DocSettings" or
"DocSettings\Ben"
and then use one of those in the Profile path.

The profile path points to a share -- UNC names begin with a \\Server\Share
test I gave the Local Profile folder the everyone/full control and it

Bad idea to give your files away in this manner -- change it to your
user account

THANK YOU!!!
