Killing a computer ... question

Sorry to bother you with such a question but ... it's really important for
me.

I need to corrupt or kill or erase a harddrive in which I have some ...
important informations I want to delete or make unreachable ...

My system is running under XP and I've lost the passrword.

I just have access to my harddrive with a dos boot floppy.

Is there any solution ? (which also will make people think it was only a
crash or something like that ...)

Thanks a lot.

Thanks for nothing! It sounds way too much like you're trying to trash
someone else's computer to me. If it was your own you could just take the
HDD out and smash it repeatedly with a hammer.

Arsehole.

Just being inventive here. I'd say take the screws off the HDD to reveal
the platters and either:

a) Smash it to bits with a large, 5-15lb hammer
b) Drop it in a bucket of strong acid
c) Fill with paint and let dry
d) Fill with industrial strength carpet glue and let dry
e) Take one of the platters out and make a stylish coaster from it
f) Take each platter to a bench grinder and put some nice vertical lines in
it
g) Throw it in a hot kiln for 15 minutes

Just some ideas.

Heh, the - "(which also will make people think it was only a crash

are in the middle of a divorce, so for what it's worth, run fdisk and
remove the partition(s).

If you drop it from the top of a building onto concrete, that will
pretty much render it pretty useless. Whatever parts you manage to
find afterwards will certainly provide evidence that failure was due
to a crash (against the ground). The hardest part will be finding the
parts afterwards -- since you seem to need evidence of the crash.
