Hi All
Well I thought i could stop our students running command prompt from a xp
workstation using group policy from a 2000 server.
I have just find a batch file in a dir that opens the command promt.
Is there a way to totally remove the use of a command promp to users.
Thankyou

Since you are using XP Pro, you can use Software Restriction Policies to create path,
certificate, or hash rules or combination thereof. For instance you could create a
hash rule for cmd.exe and command.com assuming it would not interfere with logon
scripts, etc. See links for more information. Software restriction policies are very
powerful once you figure them out. --- Steve
