I have noticed that my find and replace is no longer working. Ctrl H (or
edit ---> replace also doesn't work). What gives. I have the same problem
with outlook (where word is wordprocessor).

Ctrl F, forwards an email, instead of doing a search.
I'm suspicious that this started after I updated to Windows XP SP2.
I don't think it's the control key on my keyboard because I get the same
response from both control keys.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Have you tried Detect & Repair yet? It fixed a major
problem for me.

Not lately ... maybe I'll give that a shot. Thanks.

Have you lost these keyboard shortcuts in all components of Office, at all
times? I'm asking because sometimes it depends on what you are doing where
in Office, whether or not the keyboard shortcuts work. For example, in
Word (whether outside of Outlook, or in Outlook as you're writing or
replying to a message) Ctrl-F starts a search, but if you're reading an
e-mail (as opposed to writing one), Ctrl-F will forward it.

Well Debbie, I'm not sure what's up, but those keystrokes are working now.
It doesn't make sense to me. I don't usually run into these types of
problems (can usually troubleshoot and fix these on my own) ... but this one
fixed itself. Thanks for the response. I had noticed that it was happening
in all office software, but now it's ok. I was even having problems with
some copy/pasting, but it's all ok now. Go figure! Thanks for responsing.
