Keymgr is very handy, if it works...
Windows XP seems to automatically delete the contents of it thus losing all
of the logins/passwords stored in there, meaning I have to add them manually
again and then just sit around and wait for it to be deleted again... Can
anyone think of a solution to this?

The whole point of keymgr is for it to KEEP the stored passwords. NOT delete
them.

I don't think this is normal. I think it's a flaw in the keymgr.dll

Best regards,

You've multiposted this in several newsgroups, I've read those posts,
and I still have no idea of what this is all about. Are you just
whinging or do you have a problem for which you'd like help?

All of my XP boxen and all of my clients' many XP boxen have no problems
keeping passwords. If your computer is having difficulty in keeping
passwords, then something on your system is broken.

If you want help, please read the information about making good posts
here:

Then come back with all pertinent details and someone will help you.

There may be a problem with your computer or it is a member of an Active
Directory domain that does not allow stored passwords for security reasons.
If it is not a member of a domain you may want to check for malware and
consider a fresh install of the operating system but first if using XP Pro
open Local Security Policy via secpol.msc and go to local policies/security
options and find the security option for network access: do not allow
storage of credentials... and set it to disabled. --- Steve
