Keyloggers ?

Is there any antivirus software that would detect a keylogger utility
(not a trojan but a memory resident program) ?

Also, if I had to choose between NAV and Avast, what would provide a
higher level of security ?

Thanks !

Check out the comparitive reviews at Virus Bulletin and you'll find more
than just two choices. There are actually 3 or 4 decent products. Some
better than either of the ones you mentioned.

As for key loggers, your best bet is to supplement your AV product with a
good spyware removal tool. My personal favorite is Webroot's Spy Sweeper but
there are others.

Which ones ?

The reviews at VB seem to be for subscribers only.
The reason I mentioned these two is because Avast is free, and I
already have NAV.

I tried AVG, but it seems it has more "fails" than "passes" in the
VB100 test (certainly more so than either of the other two).

I like the way Avast updates are handled. However, the free version
takes a lot of memory.
