Since one of the latest virus threats involves a "keylogger" I'm wondering
if the following will work:

1. Put sensitive numbers (credit card, etc.) in a text file
2. Instead of typing these numbers in when needed, do a copy and paste from
the text file

Obviously, one would want to be sure the computer wasn't infected before
typing the numbers into the text file. I would appreciate it of someone with
knowledge of the subject would comment.

The smart thing to do is not safe your CC numbers on your
machine. If you need it pull it out of your wallet...
To avoid keyloggers and other virusses:
- have an up to date virusscanner running at all times
- use a firewall when accessing the internet or any other
network even in the office.
- check for spyware/parasites at least once a week.
The above should give you a better then average security
on your machine.
