Hi,

I just upgrade my platform from XP to Vista , however , my keybord lost some
of it's funtion e.g. CTRL + mouse right click for files selection , Shift +
mouse right click for a range of file selection. Anyone know the reason ?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks , i get enclosed from the website , is that mean i need to purchase
another set of keyboard + mouse combo which compatible with Vista ?

"Cordless Desktopâ„¢ Optical
This product originally shipped with either iTouch or MouseWare, which are
not compatible with Vista. We strongly recommend to uninstall iTouch and/or
MouseWare prior to migrating to Windows Vista. After iTouch and MouseWare are
uninstalled, the basic functionality of your devices will be provided by the
Windows native driver."

Thanks & regards,

It means uninstall the supporting software for the keyboard and mouse. It
says that Vista uses a built in driver instead.

Finally i changed my whole keyboard & mouse set but still missing some
function i.e. CTRL + mouse right click to select seversal file . is that mean
that have something wrong with my Vista setting ?

Thanks,
Eric Ng

Maybe not. A lot of drivers for Vista still do not enable full
functionality for the device. You need to check with the manufacturer's
website and any forums the manufacturer hosts to see if that is the case.
This link is pretty much the bible on Vista and hardware compatibility. As
you will see, there are several levels.

thanks. I could see my motherboard ASUS P5B as compatibility. So it's so
discourage that i can't understand why i loss such a simple keyboard
function without method to fix.

I find in other source that the problems is came from regedit
HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\windows\Shell\Bags,
the remove of the rogue BAG number which is causing the selection problem.
Delete that single bag entry would lead the function become normal.
However please advise if there have any method which could fix the problem
instead of changing the regedit ? I don't want to make a more serious injury
by incorrect changing the regedit.

Thanks

Export the reg key to your desktop, make the edit, and if you are satisfied
with the result you can then discard the exported key. If you don't like
the result, double-click on the exported key to restore that registry value.
