My keyboard types a for q m for ; w for z and all of the
characters are mixed up!

help!

Then I bet it was an interesting exercise, trying to type this post! :)

If you try another keyboard as Pegasus suggested, and still have the
problem, go to
Start->Settings->Control Panel->Keyboard and make sure an "alternate" driver
has not been loaded for your keyboard. It could be a virus, a prankster
with access to your computer, or even an accident on your part, but it's
pretty easy to load a keyboard driver and remap the keyboard any way you
like.

Another way to test this is to boot the machine from a bootdisk at
www.bootdisk.com and see if you have the same problems. If the problem
persists, it's hardware-related. If the keyboard works fine when booted
from the diskette, you've got a driver/software issue.
