Hi,

I have a vb .net std 2002 windows form app and wanted to
use keyboard shortcuts (& in text property input)

It shows up on the design view, but when I build (in
debug mode) and display the form for use, the characters
that are ampersanded do not show up underlined and the
keyboard shortcut does not work ?

What am I missing to enable them to be seen and work ?

Thanks
Bob

Another answer that is perhaps simpler if it works, is to
hit the alt key when the form is open. For some reason,
after I do that one time, all the shortcut keys I have
defined magically become visible.

Bug, or feature ?

That's by design.

You can turn this feature off in the display control panel.

This must be done on every computer running the application. In my 1st
reply I posted a link to a sample that allows turning on/off visible
mnemonics for the application only.

I'm aware of that but generally you wouldn't want an application to override
system settings. I wasn't trying to out-nerd you, honest! ;-)
