FWIW, there's a freeware utility called Winkey which uses the Windows
key for various shortcuts, some included but most to be added by the
user. As built-in shortcuts it has WK arrow up and WK arrow down to
maximize\minimize the active window. (With Winkey "minimize" means to
make the window smaller, not send it to the taskbar.)
