Keyboard Shortcut for My Documents

I have an icon on the desktop for My Documents. How can I make a keyboard
shortcut for it?

It's not like other icons, where if you right click and choose properties
there's a place to specify a shortcut . . .

Try right-clicking this icon and selecting Create Shortcut. Using this new
shortcut you can create a keyboard shortcut. You can then remove that
initial icon by right clicking on the desktop, selecting Properties,
Desktop, Customize Desktop, and then remove the checkmark for My Documents
in the Desktop icons section at the top.

If you want the original My Documents folder on the desktop (I do since mine
are sorted by Type and I like where it is on the screen) you can move that
newly created My Documents shortcut to some place other than the desktop;
the keyboard shortcut you specified should still work.

Thanks that's a good idea. The keyboard shortcut didn't work after I moved
the new shortcut icon off the desktop, so I used your first idea.
