Does anyone know if/how I can define a keyboard shortcut for the following
operation:
1. switch to bold
2. switch font to Courier

I tried defining a macro, but doesn't allow me to define a keyboard
shortcut, it seems.

Any hints will be appreciated,
Gabriel.

Hi Gabriel,

you cannot define keyboard shortcuts for macros in PowerPoint, AFAIK. (This
is possible in Excel, but not in PowerPoint or Word.)

You could define icons in one of the Toolbars to start your macro - would
that be a solution for you?

Kind regards,
Ute

Keyboard shortcut for "switch to bold" is Ctrl+B. For defining keyboard
shortcuts to macros, look at Shortcut Manager at

Thanks a lot for the response.

That would definitely be an improvement.

I will copy this posting also to the German PowerPoint newsgroup:
microsoft.public.de.german.powerpoint. (I myself prefer discussing VBA
issues in my mother tongue.)

Kind regards,
Ute

Gabriel,

Keyboard shortcut for "switch to bold" is Ctrl+B. For defining keyboard

....and in German PPT, it's Ctrl+Shift+F...

I place the formatting macros as menus on the menubar. But I should
have a look at Chirag's Shortcut Manager, would make life easier :-)
