I realised when I went to do the @ symbol, that the " and
@ keys had swapped. Then I realised that a few other
keys had changed also. I cannot find hash, which should
be over the 3 key. It has changed to £. I have tried
different language settings to no avail.

I have no idea of the keyboard manufacturer. A friend
gave it to me and says that he has no driver software for
it. All I can find on it is Model number: MCK-2000. I
am pretty sure it is a real cheapy of a keyboard.

Any ideas would be appreciated !!

Sometimes Windows is stupid and doesn't assign the best
driver to a device the first time around. Go to device
manager, find your keyboard, and try updating the driver.
You can either let Windows try to find a better one or you
can choose a driver from a big ol' list. The choice is
yours.
And if the problems still persist, then toss the piece of
crap, I've learned that once you have problems with a
keyboard, you're always going to have problems with that
keyboard.
Good luck.

Thanks for the tip Novice. I will give it a go. Also,
Itsdoh at www.duxcw.com gave me a good tip which I should
have thought of. He said to try this keyboard on another
computer, and another computer's keyboard on this one.

Best regards,

Andrew Warren

Thanks for the tip Maureen. I sorted it after reading
your reply. I didn't realise there was settings for
Australia, although I must have set them previously !! I
also didn't realise there was so many places where you
could change language settings. I found one for keyboard
language which I am sure I have never seen before.

I don't know how the settings were changed as I am the
only person to use the computer,

~!@#$%^&*()_+{}|:"<>?
`1234567890-=[]\;',./

Thanks again Maureen,

Andrew Warren

P.S. are you a tattoist? I see you have inkslinger in
your e-mail address.

No, I used to write professionally. More accurately, I guess that I
slung pixels since precious little ink was involved. And you're
welcome.
