keyboard problem, please help

the Fn key on my laptop doesnt seem to be working. is this due to faulty keys or is there another reason it may not be working?

thank you. no i havent spilt anything on it, and it hasnt been dropped or anything but pushing it just does nothing. is there anything i could do or would i need to take it to be checked by someone?
 
Hi Azazeal - just a thought, but are you pressing "Ctrl and Fn" rather than Fn on it's own? I recall that I needed to do that with my lappy.
