Keyboard Problem

I recently bought a wireless mouse and keyboard set. They have installed fine
and both work, but my problem is with the standard keyboard. If I uninstall
and disconnect my old ps2 keyboard and reboot, the computer just hangs
(doesn't even allow me to get into the bios) until I re-connect it. Does
anyone have a solution whereby I can disconnect the ps2 keyboard withouth the
computer hanging.

Shutdown Windows and power off the computer. Now remove the PS/2 connector.
There is nothing to uninstall.

With the PS/2 attached you will have to go into the BIOS and look for something like Halt system on
keyboard error, (not exact wording but close) and disable this. Just remember that if you ever do
need to get into the BIOS you will need the PS/2 attached.

Tried what you said but no joy. Have now resorted to unplugging the keyboard
from its cable.
