Keyboard not working with w2K

I am using a MS wireless multimedia keyboard on a PC running W2K, on a
network. Several times a day my keyboard starts misbehaving - when typing at
speed (and I'm only a two finger typist!) it missed out lots of characters.
For Instance "My name is Neale" will come out as "mynsnl" .

I have seen keyboard delays before, where the typed characters take a while
to appear, but they all seem to have been safely buffered somewhere.

This simply refuses to acknowledge that the key was ever typed, and the only
soltution is to take about three seconds between keystrokes- a bit slow even
for me. The problem does not seem to be softwarre specific - it happens in
Outlook, Word, non-MS products...

But it is only intermitent.

PS battery level is fine in the keyboard, and close to the receiver.

Any help would be v.welcome!

Thanks

What might cause this - could other wireless keyboard users in the office
cause it (Logitech keyboards mostly - one other MS one), and is there
anything I can do to stop it??

If it allows channel changing, or if the other "MS one" is not
experiencing problems also, try returning it and getting a different one.
