Keyboard not typing fast enough

When I use my keyboard I cannot press the same key twice
within about 3 seconds, if I do it just doesn't come up.
I have tried to change repeat rate etc but that does
nothing. It affects all the keys, including backspace,
numlock etc

Any help would be great.

If you have access to another keyboard, try that to see if you still have
the issue. If not, then it would appear you have a problem with the
keyboard.

No, plugging in a new keyboard didn't work, still the
same problem. Thanks anyway.

Just a thought Matt, have you turned on any accessibility
options like filter keys?? Might be worth a look.

Check Taurarian's post in this thread. Perhaps some accessibility feature
is turned on. Open Control Panel, open Accessibility Options and see if
anything is selected.
