Keyboard Merge

In Word Perfect you can create a keyboard merge by creating a form or data file containing the KEYBOARD merge command. When you perform the merge, this command pauses the merge and waits for you to enter information from the keyboard.

Is there a comparable command in Word?

Not a direct equivalent, no. But you can use ASK and/or FILLIN fields, that
would be the closest. Word does offer other options, as well, such as form
fields or creating a UserForm (dialog box). You might want to browse in

Hi Suel,

I have the same problem. I am in the process of migrating from WordPerfect to Word 2002. As I only perform small merges often to new customers it is easier for me to merge from the keyboard. If you find a solution to our problem I would be greatfull if you could send it on to me at (e-mail address removed).
