keyboard lockup

We've got an NCR 3234 pc (2 years old). Recently upgraded
from NT (SP6) to Windows 2k (SP3). Since the update
application response is very slow and the keyboard and
mouse lock up, requiring a cold restart. Plenty of memory
and large hard drive. MotherBoard bios recently updated
but problem still exists. Any suggestions would be
appreciated. NCR's support page is fairly limited in this
area.

wiped out the NT partition and loaded from scratch. Sorry
for the miscommunication.
