keyboard issues

hi. when i try to type anything on my laptop keyboard,
it works fine....BUT when i hit certain keys, somehing
else pops up.(i.g. "L" key opens login, the "D" key brings
up the search page,the "R" key opens the run command box.)
any ideas what could be the problem?

Sounds like the little windows logo key is stuck down. Windows-R = Run
box on a normal system / keyboard.

Maybe but Window+D doesn't bring up a search page.
