Hi,

I am using a standard 105 PS2 key board via a PS2/USB converter (which has
another input for a PS2 mouse as well).

The back-slash key does not work on the keyboard. I have verified that the
keyboard is not at fault.

Any ideas?

Hello

Well have you tried a different KB with out the converter and
just using the PS2 port or just the USB connection to see if that
will work. (Your saying it's not the KB but have you tried that)

Do you use the correct keyboard layout? You can verify this with a
program like notepad by watching the output of each pressed key.

Hi Alvin,

The mobo I have does not have any PS2 ports, hence the USB adapter.

I have tried 2 keyboards via the adapter and the problem is still present.
The keyboards work ok on other machines using the PS2 plug direct.

I think that something must get 'lost' via the adapter cable.

Have you tried googling on the specific make and model of your
converter?
