Is there a way to cause PowerPoint (2003) to wait for input from the
keyboard and insert it in a slide--real time. That is, as the show is
presenting, I can get input from the audience and insert the comments on the
slide as they watch...not in "design" mode, but in presentation mode.
Thanks.
Bert

You can do this using the Text Box control from Control Toolbox as follows:
1. Select "View" | "Toolbars" | "Control Toolbox" menu item if you don't
have the Control Toolbox toolbar visible in your PowerPoint.
2. From Control Toolbox toolbar, select "Text Box" control.
3. Click on the slide to insert the Text Box control on the slide.

Now start slide show. A Text Box allows you to insert text in it during
slide show. Would this do the job for you?

Chirag:
This will do exactly what I want...but now I have a couple of other
questions...
1. When I click on format control, I can't change the color of the fill or
lines (border)...
2. Is is possible to enter a "carriage return" or "Enter"...I've tried
pressing the Enter key, Ctrl-Enter, Alt-Enter. Nothing seems to move the
insertion point to the beginning of a new line.
Thanks again.
Bert.

Actually...I figured this out...using the Properties menu. Thanks again.
This is exactly what I needed.
