keyboard inop.

if I touch any botton the mouse will freeze.
The num\lock lihgt will stay on permanently.
The same after restarting computer.

On the Controll Panel-Keyboard there are no drivers present.
I did go thru system restore with 7 Cd disks I prepared for emergency when
I installed the computer (Compaq Presario), with no results.
When necessary I use the on screen keyboard!

Pete, are you using USB or PS2 Keyboard Connector. Or Wireless? When
you looked in Control Panel>Keyboard>Hardware Does it show what keyboard
you are using and if it's working Ok.

I use PS2 and once I tried, with an adaptor conession to USB but with no solution. in Control Panel>Keyboard>Hardware does not show a thing, just empty boxes.
