Hi
I am a support technician for a 5000 user organisation
and we are switching to WinXP since this summer, and some
user having to use the windows calculator have noticed
that after a while where the computer is running, it wont
take anymore commands from the keyboard ... only from the
mouse by clicking the numbers and operations ... anyone
ever experienced this problem and found a solution?

I'm starting to be desperate about this problem
thanks

Did you up-date the keyboard software if you have some
special keyboards? Are your keyboards and computers "old"
models that may have just worn out?

Did you run the compatibility checks for hardware and
software before the switch?

Are all 5000 users each using the same equipment or are
there variations in the hardware/software?

Do you have an inventory of each computer and what software
is installed? Run it through a database sort to see if the
problem happens only in certain profiles.

Well the problem is not hardware that's for sure, when it
happens I remotely take control of the user's computer
and with my keyboard it still happens, but if I go in MS
word or any other program I'll type anything and it will
get on the screen

and yes, everyone has the same hardware, and the keyboard
is most normal, has no special keys on it

do you know a .dll or .drv file I might try to check or
update to maybe resolve this?

Has the boss or someone installed key-loggers, either
software or hardware?
