keyboard error

Hello,
At Boot-up the process stops and message says "Keyboard error or no keyboard
present".
The OS is XP pro SP2.
What is the solution?

Try a different keyboard.

Just had this happen to me this past week. The cable for the keyboard had
been knocked loose. Reseated the connection and restarted to the machine to
boot normally. (My guess is that my cats knocked the cable while crawling
around behind the desk.)

If no luck, go with Frank's suggestion of trying a different keyboard.
