keyboard error due to patch

Dell computer systems tells us the problem with our
keyboard not working correctly like returning or spacing
is due to a current hot patch from microsoft for xp. I
cannot find any info on this, can someone give me some
detail on what i can do to correct this. we have changed
keyboards and the same thing happens. Again, dell says its
microsoft. I dont know whos to blame and do not care, i
just want to fix it. any help is greatly appreciated.

- An exact problem description would be helpful.
- Boot your machine with a Win98 boot disk from www.bootdisk.com,
then check if the problem still occurs. If it does, try another keyboard.

What kind of keyboard you are using
Is it need to use specific drivers
What hot patch you have installed from MS, can it be able to remove by using add or remove programs or by system restore
