Keyboard Customising

Hi folks, I've just got a new keyboard and the Caps Lock key is close
up against the "A" key. My old board had quite a gap but that was
still a pain when I clipped it and didn't realise that the last two
lines were all yelling
The new one is terrible with my clumsy fingers.
Anyone have any suggestions for disabling the Caps Lock key as I never
use it? I thought of jamming some toothpicks under it, but a software
soution would be neater. TIA

Remove the cap. Most just pull off.

most latter day BIOSs allow you to disable the caps lock key.

I use sMaRTcaPs to re program the keyboard.

It's pretty neat as it will provide audible warnings, disable caps
lock
when shift is pressed etc.

Thanks people. I've just found a little freeware program that does
just what I want and also disables the second annoyance I have, the
"ins" key. It's called FirstCap. Worth a look:
