Keyboard characters messed up in Windows Mail only

When I type a question mark this: É is what I get, when I type the at sign,
this: " comes up. I type quote a this: à is what I get. It`s only in the
mail program. There are others as well. How might I fix this 'question
mark` sigh.............. I went the control panel-keyboard but there arènt
any settings.

I just started to have the same problem with Window's Messenger as well

A bug in the last update maybe? Very frustrating whatever the reason.
 
Try Control Panel | Regional and Language settings | Keyboards and Languages
| Change Keyboards.

Thank you, Steve. I did check this already, my keyboard is set to English -
Canada and just started doing this funny character thing. Regardless, for
some reason, it is working this morning. ?"'@ all my characters are back.
Very odd, I didn't change a thing.
