KernelFaultCheck??/ MSCONFIG

Why is this showing up in my Msconfig?
KernelFaultCheck..........%systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k.

I had to rebuilt my "catroot2" file this weekend, does this have anything to
do with it.
Do I need this in my "run" section of the registry.
Why is WinXP Home acting so strange after this last batch of "updates"?
Screen sizes changing, system reboots, etc. I am about to think this is ME
all over. YUK! No Viruses on the system, I screen daily.

Thanks
Al

In order to produce a dump if there is a kernel fault. Yes, it should be
there.

No.

Pass.. mine still works fine. If you really think it's the updates, try
un-installing them from add/remove. System reboots can be fixed by
turning off 'restart after failure' in my computer, properties,
advanced, startup & recovery .. at least you'll then see an error
message instead. if that doesn't do it, you may have a hardware problem.
