kernel32.dll error

I have windows XP and IE6 with all the service packs.
Pretty much on a daily basis my internet explorer will
crash. I get this error that iexplore has caused a fault
in kernel32.dll. I keep my virus software up to date and
scan often. I also have Ad-aware, which I keep up to date
and use often. I also keep up on all my windows updates
and computer maintenance. This computer is only a few
months old. Is there a way to fix the problem?

It is really annoying. Once it happens, it will happen
all the time until I reboot my computer, and then it is
guaranteed to happen again if I am on the internet long
enough. Sometimes I can surf through numerous pages
before it happens and other times just a few. It doesn't
seem to have any rhyme or reason (i.e. the same page
won't always make it crash).

Hope someone can help.

Thanks.

Probably caused by an adware, spyware, parasite program.
See:
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
(You've tried Ad-aware- try Spybot S&D next.)

A legitimate program running in the background may be causing this. Disable
(for diagnostic purposes) programs such as pop-up blockers, security,
anti-virus, etc. Also... notorious for causing problems- Gator, Kazaa and
some others.

There are other possibilities for KERNEL32 errors:
