Merry Christmas all,
Please can anyone help?
Got PC at Christmas , when trying to load software for Asus 256MB N6200
Turbo Graphics the PC error is CD Blocked, then, Cannot start kernel mode
driver service.
I'm running XP pro x64.
Please stop me going mad as I just cannot put together a solution, mainly
because I don't have the Knowledge or confidence.
Help restore my kids belief in me as the promised PC ain't working.
Thank you in advance.

You might want to ask on the 64 bit newsgroup instead:

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.64bit.general

For all it's worth you should be aware that the x64 platform isn't
exactly yet a mainstream or operating system for the masses.

You're welcome. If it gives you too many headaches you can always stick
XP 32 bit on it if the motherboard supports it (it probably does). At
least you have a 64 bit ready pc. The 64 bit runs fine but one of the
biggest complain about it now is that drivers can be hard to find for
it, especially drivers for the lower end printers. Also, while it does
run 32 bit programs without problems, some of the 32 bit software that
rely on 16bit installers cannot be installed on x64, so that precludes
many of the older 32 bit software. Don't despair, if you get the x64
working properly you will be happy to have it, it's worth the extra effort.

Thanks for the re-assuring words.
