I have a new sony dvd burner - all i need to do is move my completed wmv. file back to the camara and then I can move it from camara back to DVD burner and I am done. The problem is that no matter how much free space I appear to have available, the program (windows movie maker) tells me I don't have enough! How do I make sure that it can use all the hard drive space to transfer these large files!

In MovieMaker, go to tools options, and check the path used for temporary
storage. Make sure that the drive it points to has enough storage.
For instance, if the path is c:\documents and settings\....., make sure that
c:\ has enough free space. To render back to tape, or to render DV-AVI, you
need 12Gb of free space per hour of movie you have on your timeline.

Let me know if this helps.

Also, make sure your drive is using the NTFS
file system -- not FAT32. If you're using
FAT32, you're limited to a maximum file size
of 4GB.

It is frustrating. I too know that where I am saving I have 64gigs left, and my system is NFTS, but still I get the stupid message that I have not enough disk space (when the movie I am saving is only 5mb) or the orginal file is not there.

This message may be displayed sometimes if you have a bad video decoder
installed on the machine. What kind of file do you have on the timeline ? Is
it a WMV file ?
