keeps saying 'low ink' after replacment,h/p 1210xi?????

I have a H/P 1200xi and once before and again now, when I repalce the
m t with another cart. I keep getting the message "The black ink
cart is low". The first time that happened I just kept 'cliciking off
the message', but this is the second time,,, and there is bound to be
a way (something simple) to 'reset" this printer so I don't keep
gettting the refill message. ?????? thanks in advnace. cl

Pull the cartridge out and wipe the electrical contacts and then reseat it.
It does have electrical contacts, right?
