Keeping the folder icon on a flash drive...

Anyone know how to make a customized folder icon stay on the folder in
a flash drive when I plug it into another PC...other than the one it
was created on?

I created a folder on my desktop, put some Christmas treats in it and
set a Christmas icon for the folder. My plan is to copy the folder onto
several flash drives and hand them out to friends for Christmas. The
problem is, when I copy the folder onto the flash drives, the Christmas
icon disappears. A generic yellow folder icon is there.

I tried to get help in CNET forums but they apparently think I'm on the
same level of comprehension as they are. I can't get them to understand
what I'm needing. They keep mentioning a Folder.htt file that I don't
have but won't tell me how I can get it. They tell me about command
line prompts and such. I guess they think I'm taking or am going take
or major in Computer Science so I can get my Christmas icon to stay
put. And, appperantly, do all of it before Christmas!

I'd appreciate if someone would speak to in regards to this as though I
know nothing about it.

Thank you

Try this:

Tools>Folder Options>View>Show Hidden Files and Folders

There will be a hidden file called Thumbs.db that is in the folder on your
hard drive. You need to see it so you can copy it to the flash drive.
