Hi all, Mr. Newbie here,

How does one format the cell so that when text is entered it does not
flow across the worksheet or resize the cell? I would prefer to keep
the cell the same size and not have the text run into the next column
and then just mouse over the cell to read what is in that cell.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Hi Tim...........

Right-click > Format cells > Alignment tab > check Shrink to fit > OK

Or, you could put your text in a Comment Box which can pop up as you
mouse-over the cell.

Thanks for the feedback Tim,

Also, you can put a short text in the cell, or color it, or whatever, to
remind you what that Comment Box will detail.

Hi there,

I used your suggestion about inserting a blank space in the adjacent
cell and then copied that down the column and then adjusted the column
width to a very small width and that did the trick.

Thanks so much

Tim
