I secured my database with a new workgroup called my.mdw
my new database no longer works with system.mdw. Will
keeping a backup of the my.mdw while giving out copies of
my.mdw always allow me back in as part of admins group in
case they cant remember there admin password? Thanks in
advance!

If you keep a copy of the workgroup file >that was used to secure the
database<, and you know the username/password of any member of the Admins
group of that workgroup file, or any copy thereof, you will be able to get
back in.

Alternatively - or in addition - write down the three fields that you
entered at the file level, when you created that file. I don't have Access
here to check, but from memory these are Organization Name, Company Name,
and Workgroup ID. Write them down >EXACTLY<, including upper/lowercase
differences. Then you can >recreate< your workgroup file by creating another
one with those exact details.

Remember: if they lose their passwords, & your backup copy of the wgf has
been corrupted, you've got a problem. But if you wrote down the details, you
just recreate that file.
