Keep losing my home page in MSIE

My anti-virus software doesn't tell me I have a virus, yet I keep
losing my home page (which is a reference to a bookmark.htm file).
Instead, when I bring up MSIE, it uses http:/// as the home page.

Although I keep resetting it using the Tools menu, it keeps getting
lost. Anyone have any ideas what I can do to make this annoying
behavior go away?

You are infested with malware that is not a virus.
Systematically go through the steps at this site:

Follow Frank Saunders' instructions for disinfecting your computer of
the probable spyware presence. Afterwards, ditch IE and upgrade to
Mozilla Firefox -- www.getfirefox.com

trust me: use it for a week. if you're not happy, it takes but 10
seconds to uninstall.
