Keep losing internet

After I restart or just start my computer,(host-XP)my
client computer (win 98) looses it's internet connection
only! I can still share files. Why does the host change
settings that I have to run the wizard each time to
obtain an internet connection? I thought all my settings
should be saved at shutdown! Help! Jim

I had a similar problem, it appears to be that the client
can't get it's IP address from the DHCP on the host PC. I
changed the IP to fixed using this KB article

us;309642&Product=winxp, I had tried it before, but it
needs the DNS settings quoted in this article.
