keep losing dns zone entry

I'm way undereducated on this stuff, so bear with me if I don't give enough info

We are a small isp using 2000 AD. We host about 20 domains and have perhaps 200 dial up / mail clients. One of the domains keeps "disappearing" from DNS. This particular domains web site is in house, along with a few of the others, (most of the web sites are hosted elsewhere.) About 1 or 2 times every week or two (twice today) when I browse to the site it can't be found, I'll recreate the zone entry in DNS and all will be well until the next time. This has been going on for several months. None of the other zones ever have had this happen.

All of the various zones' entries are, but for the specific IP addressing, done in the same manner, with this exception: This site is not pointing at the same internal mail server as most of the others. A few have their own exchange servers handling their mail, but most of them use our main mail server (BVRP/SLMail). The problem site is running it's own mail server (MS 2003 built in mail server) on a separate box.

Could someone be doing this from the outside? Where should I look for clues? Nothing is showing up in event logs, and we have no other unexplained behavior on the servers.

Any help would be appreciated

Is the zone a chld zone of an existing parent zone that exists on the
machine or is it a delegated zone that you are trying to create?
