This keeps happening:
I'll be surfing along doing nothing special and "bang", it re-boots on it's
on.

Event viewer keeps showing AVerMedia and AVerTVndm as the cause, I've used
the "show hidden devices drivers" in device manager and un-installed all
grey-ed out drivers but this keeps happening.

On someones advice here, I've only installed/reinstalled video drivers for
my ATI (ATW 9600xt all-in-wonder) latest drivers....... not the rest of the
junk.

Please, some ideas as to a fix !!

One of these may help.

We've no idea. You forgot to post the message. When you view the logged
events in Event Viewer (double-click them in the right-hand pane) in the
upper right corner, third button down is a copy to clipboard, then you can
paste in the body of a reply message.

We spoke about this not too long ago. It's third party software for TV
compatible video cards. It was installed with your ATI Radeon graphic
card. Typically, these programs have features to allow you to use your
computer to capture and record television signal or to allow your
computer to output display to a television monitor. It's software that
can help your computer interact with your television set. You said at
that time that you don't connect a television to the computer and that
you don't use the television features, so your don't need the software
on your computer, uninstall it or disable the services that it runs for
nothing.

You can install video card drivers without having to install other
useless programs and stuff, quite often these "extra" and "free" or
"trial" programs are worth exactly what we paid for them, nothing!
Typically trash is worth more than those useless programs because trash
can be recycled.

Yes Dave,

Is there some services that should be disabled that might help??

Did you try the shell script?
