KCC Registry Question

As I understand it, if you want to change the frequency of KCC replication, you can do it in the registry. If there are no entries in the registry, does that mean the KCC is using the default? Thanks.
 
Depends if we are talking about intrasite (within site) or intersite (between sites) replication. Intersite replication is scheduled on Sitelink properties and it is governed by that schedule. Intrasite replication is based on change notification
This change replication interval can be changed in registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Parameters in Replicator notify pause after modify key.
If that key does not exists, then it is by default set to 300 sec on Windows 2000 and 5 sec on Windows Server 2003
