I hope this is the right group for this item. My apologies if not and please
point me to correct group.
I am trying to install this hotfix package (adds Tools Tab to msconfig) and
it finishes with an error " Failed to migrate dependent packages." Unless
it's a red herring the failure seems to occur when this update tries to
migrate a previously installed KB912812 - which complains about IE7. Logs
follow below.
Is there something else I need to do to get around this? I have tried
running from microsoft/download site and also save to local and run.
machine has WinXP SP2 and IE 7b2 (and Office 2007b2)
logs follow with KB912812 first then full KB906569 below that. Any ideas
please? ...hopefully other than downgrade to IE6 > install > re-upgrade to
IE7 ??
