KB867801

I have 6 machines that say install KB867801 so I do and they say they
installed. The next day these same machines say they need to install this
same patch! It is maddening since now these machines are getting further and
further behind in the patch process as they are cumulative and you cannot
install any more until this patch gets installed.

I hope this is the correct spot for this inquiry, if not please tell me
where I should be posting it.

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, so I can only take a
guess, but, try the following and see if it helps:

We use windows 2k. That first link sounds promising but it won't open, not
sure if its an old link or just a very busy one.

It appears MS has removed that article. Can't find another for the W2k.

Look in the Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel and if the update is
listed there, uninstall it, then reinstall it by downloading it from the
Windows Update Catalog and installing it from your hard drive. If it is not
listed, then reinstall from the WUC:
